Garnier BB Cream Review
If you’re pastime is browsing beauty blogs I’m sure you’ve come across many mentions of BB Creams. BB Cream stands for Blemish Balms – which originally became a beauty cult favorite from Asia and they’re especially popular in Korea & Japan markets.
What exactly are BB Creams and why is everyone raving about them?
They are basically a tinted moisturizer-sunscreen-skin problem specific product. They do claim to do a lot but in a nut shell they pretty much moisturize, give a light coverage, even out the complexion, SPF coverage, sometimes contain whitening or anti-acne and primer properties.
Here are the Pro’s & Con’s of Garnier’s New BB Cream:
PROS
1- Good coverage – it’s not as light as a tinted moisturizer but not as heavy as some foundations can be. It’s actually the perfect blend of both.
2- Looks incredible natural on the skin, leaving a dewy finish.
3- Evens out redness or skin imperfections (you may still need a concealer) but this does a pretty good job on its own.
4- Long-lasting – Wears well over the day and particularly great under the heat if you dust on some loose/translucent powder on oily areas.
5- Blends on smoothly and effortlessly
6- SPF15 to protect against the harmful effects of the sun and premature skin aging, antioxidant vitamin C and stimulating caffeine
7- Great size 2.5 ounce tube – a little of this product goes a long way so you don’t need to apply too much and the bottle is pretty big so it should last a while
8- Price – it’s only 32 SAR! Can’t beat that price.
CONS
1- I wish it were scentless – as many drugstore makeup products it has a bit of a smell that kind reminds me of medicine.
2- It is only available in two shades wherever I’ve seen it so far in Jeddah – Light or Medium. Medium looks great for those of you who are tanned, the light is good for olive complexion. If you are very fair, they don’t have a very light color yet or if you have a darker complexion you’re out of luck with this product.
Overall
I loved the product. I found it to be a great buy. Try it out and see if you can manage to test the color before you purchase it.
