MMM: Get the Look: Queen Rania of Jordon

Her Majesty Queen Rania has become a much looked up too and followed icon not only for young Muslim girls but non-Muslims alike across the world.  In Jordon, her work concentrates on the caliber and quality of education for Jordanian Children and while travelling abroad she advocates for global education.  She is actively involved with her fans and followers as she does maintain her Facebook and Twitter account.

Along with her beautiful heart she is drop dead gorgeous head to toe (she was ranked 3rd most beautiful woman in 2005 by Harpers and Queens Magazine) She is often noted on the best-dressed lists, as her style is always very fresh, sophisticated yet up-to-date.  Her makeup is always soft and natural.  She generally focuses on the eyes and leaves the lips neutral.  Always making sure not to leave any harsh lines visible in her makeup.  Also, one of the main features of her makeup look is glossy fresh skin.

Here is how to get her look: Before you begin make sure you prep the skin with a fresh layer of your favorite cream.  Ideally one that has a bit of radiance to it like Pond’s Gold Radiance Day Cream.

 1. Begin by applying a Creamy Foundation all over the face starting at the cheeks and working around the face.  Use a stippler brush for a dewier finish.  Conceal any under eye darkness or blemishes using a creamy pink undertone concealer and pat on with a clean finger.

Try: Chanels Teint Innocence Cream Compact Foundation

  • Studio Sculpt Concealer from MAC
  • #187 Stippler Brush from MAC

 2. Sweep on matte beige eyeshadow all over the lip with a flat eyeshadow brush and blend into the crease using a blending brush.  Use a neutral skin toned eyeshadow with a slight shimmer under the brow bone for definition and a soft glow.

Try:  Soft Brown Eyeshadow as the base and Shroom Eyeshadow as the Highlight color – both from MAC

  • #239 flat eyeshadow brush from MAC (Base Color)
  • #252 Large eyeshadow brush from MAC (Highlight)

3. Key to this look is no harsh lines.  Use dark brown kohl and line the eye above the lash line then blend the line with a smudge brush to create a bit of darkness.  Because you have used brown the look will always be soft.  Curl the lashes and sweep on a coat of black separating mascara top and bottom.

Try: Teddy Eye Kohl From MAC

  • #214 Small Shader Brush from MAC (love this brush)
  • #217 Blending Brush from MAC (Love this brush as well)

4. Sweep the eyebrows up using an old mascara wand the same color as your eyebrows – dark brown/black.  By using an old mascara wand you will give the brows a bit of color and set them again without any hard lines.

Try: Any mascara you prefer but it must be dry.

5. Use a cream blush by applying it on the apples of your cheeks and blending along the cheekbones using a clean finger or sponge.

Try:  Posey Cream Blush from MAC

6. Line the lips using a rose-colored or neutral lipliner and fill in the lips with a creamy lipstick.

Try:

  • Captive MAC (Plum)
  • Jubliee MAC (Neautral)
  • Fan Fare MAC (Rose)

Find beauty in simplicity.
