What Celebrity Diets look like..
Have you ever watched a movie and envied the dress an actress was wearing? Or rather, wished you could have the body shape like theirs in order for you to slip into such a dress? I’m sure we all have, but one thing to feel content about is the fact that the number our weighing scale reads does not necessarily indicate how the public media will perceive us as along with the shoots, TV shows, and perhaps a movie we’ll be denied; being in the limelight comes with all of its pressures, and a major pain for them is keeping down the number of their jeans’ size.
So how do they do it? Let’s take a look at some of Hollywood’s hottest skinny women and try to take a leaf out of their healthy books.
Angelina Jolie has become one of the most influential and popular celebrities alive today. This has thus, kept her on the radar for every move she’s making and so far, she’s managed to keep her slender frame unbelievably toned. When Tomb Raider was scheduled, Jolie stuck to a very strict protein-rich diet which included soy milk, steamed sea bass, steamed beef and vegetables, and avoided sugars in order to prepare herself for the big movie. Along with Jolie’s consumption of lots and lots of water, another healthy weight loss tip we need to take note of is eating more protein.
She’s one celebrity that always seems to exude an inner beauty and radiate a healthy glow, despite the fact that she is very lean. After her pregnancy, the Mr. and Mrs. Smith star-duo claimed that chasing around her kids kept her more than active. Apart from that, she attended Pilates classes and tried to include a variety of healthy fruits and vegetables.
However, regardless of what Jolie ate and how she managed to slip back into her size 26 jeans post pregnancy, she dislikes the idea of women believing they have to be size 2, to look good, and will view her as a role model relating to her pregnancy weights.
Angelina Jolie wants women to realize that they are beautiful at any size.
Although her birth certificate claims this brunette is past 45, Demi’s body is just as youthful as 15 years younger husband, Ashton Kutcher, and always manages to pull off a classy, gorgeous look. Demi’s secret to successfully securing hot Ashton, along with gorgeous appearances could be the Zone diet she religiously follows. This diet divides her total intake into carbs, lean protein and good fat, from plant oils, oily fish and nuts, according to the ratios of 40:30:30 and in five small meals a day with fixed timings.
Demi puts a lot of effort on taking care of her body and one way she does so is by consuming nearly two whole litres of cleansing green tea throughout the day, apart from the cup of chamomile tea twice a day. Demi has also used leeches to cleanse her blood and detoxify which she claims aren’t ‘swamp leeches, but highly trained medical leeches.’
When it comes to burning calories, though, Demi believes in moderation. She replaced running with brisk walking and also does pilates to stretch her muscles.
When Demi craves sugar, she takes care of it by snacking on apple slices with peanut butter spread!
Jennifer Aniston portrays a slim and petite body which she maintains by following the Zone diet like actress Demi Moore. But unlike Demi, Jen also sticks to a toxin busting detox that helps rid her body of impurities, combined with a generally healthy diet that replaced her earlier unhealthy habits like smoking and drinking alcohol. This diet has helped her in losing 30lbs, accompanied by cuts on the consumptions of mayonnaise, sandwiches and fried items.
One thing Jen starts her day with is freshly squeezed lemon juice, early morning, something she swears by as the best way of removing fat and waste. Although lemon juice indulges your body in Vitamin C and antioxidants, it’s not only harsh to drink in the morning, but also doesn’t affect your waist line as such.
But, overall at 42, the Friends’ star’s healthy diet excludes processed food and is what maintains her shape and keeps her looking beautiful and gorgeous like she does.
From a very young age, the Fantastic Four’s star decided to alter her diet in order to make sure she didn’t follow the footsteps of her generally overweight family. Jessica follows a well balanced diet and declines from eating carbohydrates and other fats to keep her body petite and in shape for scheduled movies. Her meals consist of salads with chicken breast or fish, sashimi, petit filet beef with veggies and even red potatoes. She hogs on a handful of almonds or hot popcorn for snacks.
According to Alba’s trainer, ‘she knows how to keep her eating habits under control. She likes to have dinner out, but will only eat half of the food on her plate.’ When the new mother of 2 craves something, she doesn’t deprive herself of it because she believes it’s better than bingeing on it later on.
Jessica performs a lot of cardio on the elliptical, stationary bike for half an hour, three to four times a week and adds resistant training and yoga to tone her body for upcoming roles in films.
Although Alba’s recent body figure will tend to differ due to her recent delivery, she’s been keeping on track with her workouts even during her pregnancy, and we’re pretty sure she’ll be back to her post pregnancy size, perhaps even better, in no time.
